GSpot is a tool that provides you with detailed information about the codec used audio and video files. It can tell you whether an AVI file uses DivX or XviD, and which version, what type of MPEG codec is used (DVD format or not) etc. and also display additional file information like frame rates, meta data and more.
VideoInspector
VideoInspector provides detailed information for selected video files. It includes Codec requirements, Duration, streams, resolution, bitrate, frames per seconds (FPS), Sample rate etc., and also calculates the video quality factor.
LeechVideo Converter
LeechVideo Converter enables you to easily save and convert videos that play in your Internet Explorer browser. Just hover your mouse over the currently playing video in IE and and click on the LeechVideo icon to open the save dialog. You can choose to save the video in iPod format (.mov), PSP format (.mp4) or Smartphone format (.3gp) and the software will do the rest. Works with YouTube, Google Video and many other sites.
YouRipper
YouRipper is a small tool that enables you to download video clips from YouTube and Google Video. It automatically clings itself to the title bar of your browser and all you have to do is copy and paste (or drag and drop) the URL of the YouTube page that contains the video clip and YouRipper will automatically extract the correct file and save it as Flash video (.flv) file in a folder of your choice. You will need a FLV player (available from SnapFiles for free) to play the saved files. YouRipper also contains a handy RSS reader that shows the latest videos on YouTube.
Video DVD Maker
Video DVD Maker enables you to capture video from your DV recorder, web cam, TV tuner or other input device, as well as video files and convert/burn the output to a CD or DVD. You can capture a single movie or combine multiple captures into a single video, using an easy-to-use 3-step interface. Video DVD Maker is intended to be simple and straightforward to use, it does not offer any advanced editing features.
STOIK Capturer
STOIK Capturer can capture input from a video device such as a connected DV recorder through IEEE 1394 FireWire, a webcam or TV Tuner card, and save the output in AVI (using codec of your choice) or WMV format. It can optionally use a temporary file to avoid drop frames during recompression, and automatically split the output into common media sizes. Other features include playback control (as supported by device), as well as output of DV Avi to a DV recorder. No documentation.
VCD Menu Lite
VCD Menu Lite allows you to produce simple but attractive menus as front-ends for your VCD / SVCD movie and slideshow presentations. You can customize the menu colors and add chapter thumbnails by importing them from video frames (avi or mpeg files) or images. The result can be exported as JPG image, that can be imported to your VCD authoring software. VCD Menu Lite only lets you design the menu, it cannot create VCDs, nor produce MPEG output. Since the program outputs the menu as standard JPG image, it could also be used for any other purpose (image maps etc.).
Exsate DV Capture Live
Exsate DV Capture Live enables you to capture and convert DV video from your camcorder via a IEEE-1394 Firewire connection. While the program is capturing the video, it automatically converts it to AVI or WMV format in real-time and saves it to your hard drive. You can optionally imprint the DV time stamp into the captured video and choose to have it appear once a day, once an hour or with every scene. Furthermore, you can choose to capture to a single or multiple files, append to existing projects, and operate all playback functions of your DV camcorder. Exsate DV Capture Live does not offer any editing functionalities, but if you just want to capture and convert your tapes to digital format, this program offers all the functionality you`ll need.

Simple File Joiner is a simple tools to join multiple text files or MPEG movies into one. It can optionally insert a divider between the merged parts.
AviSplit
AviSplit enables you to split, rejoin and clip your .AVI video files, using a fast and lossless process that does not process any of the movie data. The output files are saved with an incrementing file name, so your original is not changed in any way. You can easily rejoin the split files, using the built-in options. In addition, you can clip your files and trim portions from the beginning or end of the movie. AviSplit can not process AVI video file written in Type-1 AVI and ODML AVI format - it will not work with video from a digital camcorder.
AVIcodec
AVIcodec is a very useful tool that helps you identify the codec used by video files. As you may know, most video files have a simple AVI, MPEG etc. extensions, however some of them may require additional codecs like DivX or VCD and others. When trying to run such a file, and you don't have the proper codec installed, you will get an error message, or may be limited to audio playback only. While AVIcodec does not provide you with the codecs, it makes it easy to identify the exact video type and the codecs required (if any). In addition, it provides links to online resources to find required codecs, and also displays a list of all codecs (with version) that are installed on your system.
MovieSnapshot
MovieSnapshot allows you to easily grab a frame from a video file and save it as JPEG image. Just drag and drop any movie file onto the MovieSnapshot interface, select the frame to grab and click the save button. The program supports all installed DirectShow video and audio codecs.
Video2Photo
Video2Photo can capture individual frames from a video source, such as a DV camcorder, webcam, or from a local video file (AVI, DivX or MPEG). You can play the movie from within the application, and easily select individual frames, or sections to be extracted. In addition, you can choose to apply a variety of effects or processing options to all or selected frames, including color corrections, cropping, old photo effect and more. The result can be exported as HTML thumbnail gallery, Flash file (swf), AVI movie or individual image files. The interface is easy to use, even for non-technical users, and uses a step-by-step wizard to guide you through the process. The free version adds a small `Made with Video2Photo` to each frame, which can be removed by purchasing a Pro version.
Rostrum Camera
Rostrum Camera is a unique tool for making video sequences from still images (.bmp, .gif, .jpeg). You can use a single, large image and select a start and finish point. The program will then create series of Windows bitmap files (one for each video frame), that can then be converted into a movie file (.avi) using the included BMP to AVI utility. The result is a video file that pans across the image, creating a panoramic effect.
DivFix
DivFix (DivixFix) enables you to fix and watch partially downloaded DivX (AVI) movies. It can rebuild or strip the index part of the movie, which is at the end of the file and therefor missing when the file was downloaded incompletely. It also includes basic error detection features. You can chose to create a new (fixed) file, leaving the original one intact. Very fast!
CombiMovie
CombiMovie is small and simple program which can combine two or more mpg/mpeg files into a single continuous mpg movie. It uses the copy method and therefore works very fast, almost as fast as copying the files it self. CombiMovie is easy to use, just select the files to be joined and start the joining process. It offers a built in preview window that allows you to preview the parts before joining (or after).
JPGVideo
JPGVideo can create a video (AVI) file from a series of JPG files. These JPG files are usually from a web camera that has been set to take pictures every few seconds. However, any JPG files could be converted into a video file, the only restriction is that they d all have to be the same size.
Slide Show Movie Maker
Slide Show Movie Maker can create an .avi vide slideshow from a series of .bmp or .jpg images. Images can have professional-looking fade-in and fade-out effects, plus attractive text overlays. The program lets you choose to save output using any one of your systems installed .avi codecs. You can choose to build your slideshow from selected pictures or entire directories. If you select any of the included effects, they can be previewed, using the built in viewer before you apply any of them. The program also lets you save your work as projects, so you can continue working on them at a later time. Additional features include pa color fading pnorama scrolling and more.
